About the Event

Discover what life would have been like for a child growing up in a Florida farming and ranching community over 100 years ago while making your own crafts! Each student visitor will receive a package of individual craft supplies to complete while you visit Cracker Country or take home for fun later.

Date: August 7, 2020: 10am-1pm
Admissions: This event is very popular so advance ticket purchase is recommended. Tickets: $10 per person, ages 4-adult. Children 3 and under are admitted free.
Parking: Visitors will receive FREE parking for this event when they enter the Fairgrounds via the Orient Road entrance.

Educators in historic dress will be on hand to welcome guests to the 1885 Carlton House, Okahumpka Depot, Terry Store, School House and more authentic structures.

Each student visitor will receive a package of crafts with instructions and historical reference material to complete at the museum or at home.

All collaborative hands-on stations are closed until further notice.

There are lots of unique items to be found at the General Store! The store features nostalgic and reproduction items, historical toys and games, books, candy, and many other unique gift items.

The General Store accepts cash, Visa, Master Card, and personal checks with ID.

Proceeds from sales in the General Store help support Cracker Country's education programs.

The health and safety of our employees and guests is of paramount importance.

-All collaborative hands-on stations are closed until further notice.
-We regret there will be no onsite ticket sales. As part of our safe reopening plan, this event will have limited capacity.
-Face masks will be required for all employees and encouraged for all guests.
