The gallery, housed inside the General Store, features artifacts, personal items and photographs that tell the story of Cracker Country’s founders, their ancestors and the creation of the museum.
The Carltons had deep roots in pioneer Florida. Their families settled here in the early 19th century, when the territory of Florida was a sparsely populated wilderness. Visit the gallery and glimpse what life was like for these two families in the harsh and beautiful new state of Florida.
When to view: Every year we open this gallery for Fair visitors during the Florida State Fair.
